The allegation is sequel to the murder of the second republic politician in Katsina-Ala town located on the banks of placid river Katsina-Ala in Benue State, north-central region of Nigeria on July 17, while supervising the construction of a gate at one of his properties.
In a petition to the Inspector General of Police, Mr Solomon Arase, son of the murdered politician, Mr Terfa Ihindan, alleged that Superintendent of Police Dickson Pawa, had masterminded his father’s killing.
Wife of the deceased, Mrs Dinah Ihindan, alongside grieving members who were bewildered by the tragic turn of events also sought for justice.
Consequently, the Police paraded some of the suspects they have in custody in connection with the murder, but the prime suspect denied having anything to do with Mr Ihindan’s death.
The Benue State Commissioner of Police, Mr Hyacinth Dagala, advised Mr Ihindan’s family to lodge an official report against Pawa, if they have any proof linking him to the killing.
