Oyegun, Onu, may get Ambassadorial posts

Baring any last minutes alteration, National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC and former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu would emerge ambassadors soon.
APC source stated that this may become president Mohammdu Buhari’s way of compensating some party leaders who had expected to be Ministers.
The source who pleaded anonymity revealed that the party has earlier sent names of 4 persons to the president from which the president appointed Engr. David Lawal as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF recently.
According to the source, most senior party leaders have been unsettled with the reports of screening of some names by the Department of State Service, DSS, who may be named Ministers soon by president Buhari.
“It was not however clear whether the president will honour the remaining names”, the source said.
It will be recalled that some reports had the Presidency had forwarded about 20 names to the DSS for screening.
Among the list of those who were said to have been screened by  the DSS are, former presidential candidate, Prof. Pat Utomi, Femi  Falana (SAN), a former Governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye  Oyinlola, a former finance commissioner in Lagos State, Mr. Wale Edun and Former Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries Limited, Mr. Festus Odimegwu.
Others in the list are, Abubakar Malami (SAN), former Chief of  Army, Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazu (retd.); an former chief  executive of the Federal Inland Revenue, Mrs. Ifueko Omoigui-  Okaru.
