Ibadan—FOR the second time within three days, there was serious concern about the health of foremost Yoruba comedian, Moses Adejumo, popularly called Baba Sala who was rushed to the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan last Saturday.
His son, Emmanuel had to quickly clarify that his father was alive and even demanded for pounded yam on Tuesday.
Though, it was reported that the octogenarian was still alive and bubbling with life, some social media were yesterday awash with a rumour that his health worsened. Several Nigerians especially residents of Ibadan were worried about his health status and were making calls to know about his condition.
But, the Public Communication Officer of the teaching hospital, Mr. Deji Bobade again reaffirmed his earlier comments that Baba Sala was fast recovering. He said this in a telephone interview yesterday evening.
He also said in a text message that, “Papa is recovering very fast. He needs to rest to ensure full recovery in good time.” Another close associate of the comedian said his health was stable, adding that those writing rubbish in social media did so based on the initial uncertainty that surrounded his health.
As at the time of filing this report, there was calm at the hospital where the comedian is receiving treatment.
